Former Santa Fe County Assessor Benito J. Martinez Jr. announced Tuesday he plans to run for the position again in this year’s election.

Former County Assessor Benito Martinez announced Tuesday that he is running for the office again.

Until recently, Martinez worked at the Regulation and Licensing Department — first as the director of the Manufactured Housing Division and then as the $70,000-a-year director of intergovernmental affairs. He was one of 59 exempt state employees who were laid off in January when their positions were eliminated. Read More »
